Day 1 Tuesday April 27th
Morning Session: UniteU and Industry Update 9:00-12:00
Soumen Das, CEO and Founder of UniteU Technologies, Inc. will share insights into the challenges and successes of the last year. The UniteU/Merchant partnership is the key to our collective success and Mr. Das will discuss the state of the company and UniteU’s plans to continue providing a feature-rich, secure and scalable platform in support of your growth strategies. Learn how UniteU is expanding reach, increasing conversions and lowering operating costs. This session will include a look at the UniteU Development Roadmap and the New Advanced Promotions Tool. UniteU merchants that have converted to the New v5 platform will speak out, providing valuable insight into the conversion process, their conversion optimization strategies and best of all, their results.
Afternoon Session 1: Exploring the “P” and “A” of the PACCESTM Framework for Ecommerce Success 1:00-3:00
Jacqui Segura, Director of Merchant Solutions for UniteU, will moderate a discussion on Preparing Content and Attracting Shoppers. Content remains “king” as part of the overall success model. Landing and Content pages, integration with blogs and RSS feeds, Video and user-generated content will be covered. The importance of personalization and relevancy is revealed as merchants attempt to stand out in a crowded marketplace. In line with the Expand Your Reach theme, topics include alternative marketplaces, like eBay and Amazon, forming new partnerships with Affiliates, Organic search and the emergence of Bing, what’s new in Shopping Engines and a recap on how to make the most of your Pay-Per-Click advertising efforts. In this session, we will hear from merchants on their Social Networking strategies… what is working and what is not.
Afternoon Session 2: Expand your Reach: “Go Mobile” 3:30-5:00
Due to popular demand, we will explore all aspects of PACCES relative to the Smart Phone user experience. UniteU understands the importance of this ever growing “channel” and the display concerns with the mobile browser. BUT there are many facets to the relationship the merchant has with the mobile customer, buyer and friend. What and how does UniteU phase in the support for the Smart Phone user? Merchants, bring your experiences, your concerns and your requirements to this very timely discussion.
Evening Activity: Customer Appreciation Event – “Take me out to the Ball Game” 6:00-10:00
Starting at 6PM we will gather in the lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott and make our way to Historic Wrigley Field for a 7:05 start time: Chicago Cubs vs. the Washington Nationals. UniteU will make every effort to supply good weather to what promises to be a fun night out, and a great opportunity to get to know your fellow merchants. Unfortunately, UniteU will not have an opportunity to host the Annual Merchant Auction this year!
Day 2 Wednesday April 28th
Morning Session: Expand your Reach: “Go Global” 9:00-12:00
UniteU recognizes that our merchants are not alone in their quest to capitalize on the ever-shrinking world and ever-expanding internet marketplace. In fact, many of our merchants have ventured into this territory already and have valuable knowledge to share. UniteU has gathered a collection of industry experts to offer discussion starters on the topics of localization/translation, shipping, tax and tariffs, fraud management, customer service and more. Panelist Bios will be available shortly.
Afternoon Session: Exploring the “Cs” ,“E” and “S” of the PACCESTM Framework for Ecommerce Success 1:00-4:30
Monica Kraft, Product Manager for UniteU, will moderate a discussion on Convincing Shoppers to Buy. Every merchant understands that small victories in increasing your conversion rate result in large impacts to your bottom line. Discussion topics include Checkout and Shopper registration/Opt in, how to complete the sale with real-time customer service, an introduction to UniteU’s Filtered Navigation Express solution, and Abandoned Basket marketing techniques.
Jacqui will moderate a discussion on Converting Orders to Sales and Engaging Shoppers in order to build long lasting relationships. Jacqui’s moderation style promises an interactive and meaningful discussion on addressing those “Pain Points” in your operation that possess huge potential for reducing your costs. How can the merchant introduce integration to systems, remove manual labor through automation, and become more agile when streamlining supply chain issues. UniteU will show the New Tender Reconciliation Report and discuss the benefits of the “Order hold and release” capability. Engaging shoppers is always an important topic, as merchants understand the costs relative to customer acquisition. The discussion will focus primarily on smart email marketing as well as real-life examples of using the Smart Email Notification Technology (SENT) that UniteU introduced in 2009. Merchants can offer their ideas on how to be more relevant in customer communications, and mechanisms for doing so.
Finally, UniteU will review the importance of using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to make tactical and strategic growth decisions. WebTrends reporting, Measured Marketing tools and Google Analytics will be covered.
Conference Wrap Up 4:30-5:00
Two days of conferencing will be wrapped up by reviewing merchant take aways and action plans, as well as UniteU “next steps”. Each year, we find that there is not enough time to cover every topic, provide training or help in merchant growth planning activities. Merchants that would like “One-on-One” attention can schedule sessions for Thursday April 29 th. Requests are already late, so please contact Cari Wegner immediately if you have an interest in scheduling.
