Software Engineer
Technology
Our solutions are built as a highly-scalable, service-oriented infrastructure using technology from Microsoft including the Windows Server platform, SQL Server 2005, Commerce Server 2002/2007, and is integrated with a variety of best-of-breed solution providers. Our proprietary technology is primarily developed using the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework and written in C# with additional aspects implemented using VB, Java, and other scripting languages.
Scope and Responsibility
Our established, innovative ecommerce platform development team is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development of our service offerings and e-commerce architecture.
Major Responsibilities
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software applications.
- Analyzes and fixes defects in software applications.
- Unit tests deliverables before release to Quality Assurance.
- Authors design, test matrixes, release, and support documentation.
- Participates in peer reviews of designs and implementations.
- Contributes input of top level activities and level of effort estimates to project plans.
- Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Additional activities as specified by reporting management or assignees.
Job Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area and 3-7 years of commercial software application development experience.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures of software engineering.
- Desirable skills: C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL/TSQL, HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
- Desirable knowledge: OO analysis and design, OO design patterns, UML, Web Services, networking protocols.

- Desirable skills: C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL/TSQL, HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
- Desirable knowledge: OO and Subject/Aspect-oriented analysis and design, OO and architectural design patterns, UML, Web Services, networking protocols, Service-Oriented Architectures, Agile Development Methodologies.
